Cemetery of the Innocents

108 white crosses have been erected on the lawn of the rectory next to the church.  Over 58 million innocent human lives have been lost through abortion since the Supreme Court legalized abortion in 1973.  The display represents the 108 babies that are aborted EACH DAY in the state of IL.  A smaller display has been set up on the south lawn of the church.  The crosses will be displayed for the duration of the 40 Days for Life campaign which joins Christians around the world in a massive effort to end abortion through 40 days of prayer and fasting, peaceful prayer vigils and community outreach.

You may participate in this powerful presentation by donating $10 per cross to spiritually adopt an aborted child or sponsor a cross in honor of someone.  Donation envelopes are in the pews and the back of the church or you may fill out the form below and drop it off at the church office.

Please keep the unborn and their mothers in your prayers!

St. Michael the Archangel
Prayer Campaign

Never underestimate the value of prayer. Some of us older Catholics may remember that for years many parishes said a regular prayer at the end of Mass for the conversion of Russia away from Communism. White it took several years, that prayer campaign was obviously successful.

A new movement from Human Life International provides a prayer after Mass to St. Michael for the conversion of abortionists. This prayer has become increasingly popular and has already spread to numerous countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America and is now eing said in many languages. It is being encouraged by the Rockford Diocese and is already being said in many parishes in the area.

You can save lives by helping to end abortion, which kills a baby every 23 seconds in America.

Any woman who is pregnant and in need can turn for help to the pro-life movement. She never has to feel that abortion is the only option. People anywhere in the country can find assistance at the following numbers.
